Oh, gosh, god, this was Very Good. LOL I am taking a moment just to like, collect my thoughts after that. It was very much an experience from start to finish and I'm reeling just a bit hahahahaha.
I want to just start by saying that the vertical orientation thingie??? That was so good??? I've never played a game shaped like that I don't think LOL besides I guess mobile is somewhat similar perhaps, but not that tall?? Anyway, what a unique choice, even if you say it was originally not on purpose LOL Because it was also so so so effective?? Like I don't think you would have been able to do what you did with the slow panning and reveal with a more standard orientation. It was so well done!!
The music choice was wonderfully unsettling. I was getting goosebumps just from the music alone, accompanied by the overall darkness, almost staticy-feeling vibe and claustrophobic feeling from the orientation. And the use of the clock in the middle was Spot On GUH. Loved that part. So delightfully creepy.
The build-up from beginning to end was so well done. Like. The "reveal" so to speak in the middle wasn't even The Big Part, which was still yet to come at the end with the final reveal and final pan, WHICH IS SAYING SOMETHING AS THE MIDDLE PART WAS THE MOST STARTLING AND UNCOMFORTABLE?? But even that didn't have quite the innate under-the-skin creepiness of the final mirror shot GOD I think I giggle a bit at the end but not because it was funny because I was so creeped out and it was a gut reaction alkdfjads
I WANT MORE OF THIS??? I WANT MORE OF THIS CHARACTER?? THIS STORY AND WORLD??? THIS CREEPINESS???? I hope even if you don't plan to continue this story itself you continue to make stories like this because it was incredibly wonderful and really twisted my gut in that delightful unnerving way I love so much. Absolutely fantastic job!!
